Here are the rules for waste disposal in the municipality of Olia Speciosa (Castiadas).
Something really important that I want to say as a homeowner, but above all as a lover of Sardinia. Sardinia is a breathtakingly beautiful place. It’s something we all need to preserve for future generations, and we must strive to keep it unspoiled. Please follow the instructions provided by the Municipality of Olia Speciosa (Castiadas), which I have translated for you.
If you have any needs or doubts, feel free to contact me. Just send a message on WhatsApp, and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
The following waste categories exist:
- Organic Waste (biodegradable)
- General Waste (undifferentiated residue)
- Plastic
- Paper
- Glass and Aluminum
Waste should be disposed of in their respective bins, and the bin should be placed outside the house from 8:00 PM of the day before the waste collection.
The collection days may vary depending on the time of year. If you are staying in the area during the high season, there will likely be more pickups compared to the low season.
You can download the updated 2023 calendar by CLICKING HERE. If I forget to upload the one for the following year, please let me know! I will make sure to update it.
I couldn’t translate it because it is a PDF, but it is fairly easy to understand. The colors correspond to the type of waste. In any case, here is the translation in Italian:
